TREATMENT STEPS

Step 1 - Schedule Your Appointment

From the initial phone call to the day of treatment, our team of experienced and friendly professionals are committed to keeping each patient well informed.

Insurance and benefits are verified prior to the initial appointment so patients are aware of their estimated coverage and benefits.

For those who are uninsured or have limited dental coverage, we can set up specific financial arrangements that will accommodate your current situation.

Step 2 - Visit Dr. Do

On the day of the appointment, please bring a photo ID, insurance card, and the referral slip from your general dentist.

Patients will be asked to fill out a few short forms on the computer, or on paper, to set up a patient file. Once completed, patients will be seated and an X-ray taken of the affected tooth.

Dr. Do will perform a few simple tests to determine if a root canal is needed. Any questions or concerns that the patient might have can be answered and the procedure(s) clarified.

Treatment generally takes about 1 to 1.5 hours and can be completed on the same day. Occasionally, a second appointment is required depending on the complexity or severity of the case. After the root canal has been completed, the treated tooth will have a temporary filling.

Step 3 - Visit Your General Dentist

Because our office only specializes in root canal treatment, you will need to see your general dentist for a permanent filling or crown within the next few weeks.

We will send a report back to your dentist within 1-2 days along with an image of the treated tooth.

We understand that some patients can be nervous about their treatment so extra time is always reserved for those who expressed such concern. Each patient is scheduled in a 2 hour appointment slot leaving ample time for discussion, treatment, and post-operative instructions.
